Macbeth’s imagination is ridiculously insane, He goes a little mental while he is in the zone. It prompts him to commit the crime because of the fact that he is wanting to become king. He is already Thane Of Cawdor, but now he wants too become king, being the fact that the witches told him he was going to be king. SO after he has murdered the king he hallucinates, thinking all sorts of things. He regrets the fact that he did, but the next day he and his wife (lady Macbeth) put on a show and acts as if they are appaulled about the situation knowing good and well they caused the mayhem in the first place.
